Jesus paid the price for our sins fully and completely through His sacrificial death on the cross, accomplishing what we could never do on our own. Scripture teaches that all have sinned (Romans 3:23) and that forgiveness required a perfect sacrifice (Hebrews 9:22). Jesus became that sacrifice, fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy that He was pierced for our transgressions and by His wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). When He declared, “It is finished” (John 19:30), He confirmed that the debt of sin was paid in full once and for all. Because of His finished work, we now have freedom, forgiveness, and access to God without condemnation (Romans 8:1), walking in new life purchased by His blood.
