Being a child of God is one of the greatest truths of the Christian faith—an identity given to us through Jesus Christ. Scripture says, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are” (1 John 3:1). Through faith in Jesus, we receive the right to become God’s children (John 1:12), and the Holy Spirit continually reminds us of this identity (Romans 8:16). As God’s children, we have access to His love, His presence, His protection, and His promises, becoming heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). Walk boldly and confidently, knowing you are deeply loved and securely held as a child of the Most High God.
